This is a high and dry 40 acre property located not far from Munising and Pictured Rocks. The property is covered in scrapes and rubs especially at the lower north end. The square 40 acres has a gentle slope. Higher at the south and slightly lower in the north. The property is completely forested but thin enough for easy navigation. The forest is mostly younger to middle aged growth and a mix of 50/50 hardwood/softwood. There are some mature oaks producing on the property and a lot of young and immature oaks growing to replace what was logged. The property is secluded with National Forest land on 3 sides. The ATV/Snow trail runs just off the corner of the property. The Wetmore area is a fantastic destination for snowmobiling and ATVing as well as for its series of smaller quieter lakes. It is also in close proximity to Munising, Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore and Grand Island National Recreation Area. The area has a well developed cross county ski park. The North Country Trail passes through the area and there are several waterfalls and associated hiking trails nearby as well.
